H2O: Passion and Purpose
Jesus said in John 7:37 “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” That is our primary purpose at H2O, to provide a place and atmosphere for young people of all sizes, shapes, and colors to come and drink of the water Christ spoke of. John 4:14 “The water I give them will become in them a spring of water, welling up to eternal life.” We recognize that everyone young and old lives out a spiritual journey. And each of us are at different places in that journey. Our goal is to come along side students and help them to take that next step in their journey toward real life in Jesus. For many that is helping them to develop in the relationship with Jesus and for many others that means helping to teach, love, and model Christ in ways that helps remove some of the obstacles that may currently stand between them and a peaceful relationship with God.
The Loft
Events
Even the most exciting and action packed programs can become routine and predictable. So we make every effort to mix it up and keep it exciting. This is accomplished through many different avenues. In our weekly outreach services we periodically have a theme night, with costume competitions and the whole bit. Capped off with an exciting illustrated message somehow tied into the night’s theme. We put out a monthly calendar packed with events and activities. There are also larger events such as retreats and summer camps.
Our activities and events are great opportunities for students to get some hang out time with our adult leadership staff. This team of individuals is trained and qualified and they just love hanging out with students and helping them learn how the Christian faith is lived out in the context of our every day world.
