To help celebrate all that God is doing here at South Side Hills, we are having an OPEN HOUSE in our new building. Join us for lunch - Subway sandwiches, chips, fruit and drinks. We will have a display of the materials that will be used for the flooring, walls, etc. You will be able to walk around and hear each pastor's vision for their areas of ministry.
If you are interested in helping with the demolision of the interior walls and carpeting, please contact Tim Vance at tvance@thehillschurch.org

Closing on our new Building is Complete!
Below is an email that I received from Pastor Earl that I would like to forward to all of you.
"Everything came together in the last 48 hours to make closing possible today. Everything was signed and sealed by 11:30 a.m. My heart is overwhelmed with thanks to God for his guidance and help in all of this. I wanted you to know so that you can celebrate, too!
Earl"
As a 20+ year member of this body of Christ followers, I’ve seen a lot of great times that God has brought us through. But I must admit (with tears of joy) I’m humbled by God’s graciousness to us today. At times I never dreamed that we would be out from under the financial strain that we were in. Today is a day of great joy, freedom and healing. You have helped make this day possible. Through the uniting of our hearts, our fervent prayers, our faithful work, our generous financial giving, and our outrageous love for one another and our community, God has brought us to this unforgettable moment.
Let’s take time to thank God today and celebrate. But just as Christ told many of the people that he healed, "Go home to your families," I think we need to take this great news of what God has done and take it ‘home’ where we live – to our families, to our co-workers, to our neighbors, to anyone who will listen. Tell them of the healing our (church) body has received! Tell them that it’s only by God’s Grace and love that we are now at this place. And maybe even invite them on this incredible journey we’re on! And to God be all the glory!

Progress is Happening
Just in case you haven't heard...the closing on our new building is now been moved to the end of the month! We are so excited! The work to update the sewers on the front of the property is supposed to start this week. Once MSD signs off on the work we will be going to closing. That's when the work really begins.
The Staff/Deacons and other lay leaders have been meeting to develop our core values statement and a new name. God is doing some great things at South Side Hills, we hope you can take the time to come and visit us or connected with us in one of our connections groups throughout the week.

OPEN HOUSE AT RONNIES ON JUNE 1st AT 9a
We are so excited! Ronnies will be our location for the next 12 months during the retrofitting of the 3900 Union building. Sunday, June 1st we will have an OPEN HOUSE at Ronnies 20 Cinema. Doors will open at 9a.
Come and mingle, find out where all the kids, youth, adults and even the babies will be. You'll be able to ask lots of questions and talk to the Pastors about their areas.
At 9:30a you can grab a seat with your family and sit back. Earl will have a few brief announcements; then at 9:45a we will have a group private showing of C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
You will not want to miss the OPEN HOUSE or the movie. So grab your family and a friend or neighbor and invite them to come.
